Think you’re having a tough day?

This past Sunday’s heat index was approaching 110. Our unsheltered homeless friends are hot and hungry. The hamburgers, frozen bottles of water, and microfiber neck wraps were a big hit.

I can’t imagine what it’s like living on the street’s day after day. One of today’s prayer concerns is from Tangila. Tangila is a 58 year old lady that has been homeless since April. Her prayer concern is to get off the streets. She says it’s too hot, suffers from chronic pain, must use a walker, and her car is broken down. Wow! Please pray for Tangila and the others in today’s prayer list.

With God as our guide, we reach out!

Many thanks to those that assembled bags on Saturday and for our Sunday outreach team. We don’t want to forget to thank those that helped load our four vehicles with bags, clothing, and 200 frozen bottles of water.

We were able to pass out 72 bags, 16 ladies’ backpacks, 355 articles of clothing, including hats, shorts, pants, shirts, socks, and underwear.

We are always in need of clean men’s and ladies’ shirts, tops, pants, sweaters, coats, socks, bras, caps, and new underwear.  We especially need men’s pants, jeans, and shorts in sizes 30-38. Shoes & boots suitable for outdoor wear, blankets, sleeping bags, & tents

Assembling and filling Bags and Ladies’ backpacks                                               This is generally done one Saturday each month and is a fun time of fellowship.

Sorting clothes. People are responding to our need for clean or new clothing items. Volunteers are much needed to help sort, size, and organize these items.  We meet in our fellowship hall every Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30, and always appreciate help.

Financial contributions.  Your continued financial contributions will allow us to continue this ministry and share God’s love with others.
